My Baby Has Become a Toddler

As you can imagine, time is flying by and I’ve been slacking on posting here. But trust me, the adventures with Krew and I have continued. One thing I promised myself when I got pregnant is that no matter what I’d make sure I gave Krew all the adventure and experiences I could. I want him to look back and think of all the memories we had together and know that he had a fun childhood. Memories and experience will last longer than any toy I can buy.

The last few months Krew has given me a run for my money. His sass is in full force and he’s just as stubborn as his mom is which, as you can imagine, becomes quite the battle. He has a look in his eyes 90% of the time that just shows he’s up to something and trying to find a way to execute it.

We’ve got the last few teeth coming in so bedtime hasn’t been very fun the last week. I still haven’t gotten him into his own crib yet but it needs to happen soon. This momma needs sleep without him kicking me in the throat all night long. He does have the sweetest cuddle though which are making it harder and harder to move him out of my own bed.

We’ve moved out of the walking phase and we have hit running, all the time. He would stay outside from sun up to sun down if I would let him. He is a human fish and is learning to paddle and kick when he’s in the pool. I have no idea how he even knows that’s what he’s supposed to do but he’s got it figured out.

He absolutely loves horses and wants to ride them all the time. When we go out to the arena he has no interest in playing in the dirt anymore once the horses come out. He just wants to ride.

His favorite game right now is ring-around-the-rosie. Grandpa got a new puppy so we’re learning how to be soft and not pull her hair like he does with Gus. Speaking of Gus, he’s the best puppy with Krew. Krew picks on him all the time and Gus takes it. Krew still likes to look at JJ just to get him to growl at him.

Krew is learning what things mean which is fun for me to watch him learn. He know understands the simple tasks. “Take that to Grandpa” “Throw it in the garbage” “Where is your truck” “Where are your shoes” “Do you want a drink” He’s getting pretty good at telling us no when he doesn’t want something. We’ve started having him help with small chores like feeding the dogs and chickens and picking up his toys.

Every day I swear he’s aged 3 years. My baby boy is now looking and acting more and more like a toddler.

I posted the other day on Facebook, Krew will never know how much he saved me. Be brought me out of my darkest of days and I’ll forever be grateful for him. He’s definitely a momma’s boy and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
